Wow!! It is December 31, 2015, and I cannot believe what a tremendous year this has been. I am grateful for everything I have experienced. We all tend to reflect on the year, often running from what we didn’t like with thoughts of “I can’t wait to start over. Fresh start. New beginnings …” I, too, have said all of those things, only this year, I want to reflect on how much I have learned not simply from what went right but from the things that didn’t go as planned.

There were days when I was intolerant with my youngest daughter, and I wanted a do-over. She teaches me lessons every day. I am grateful.

There were days when I didn’t do my best, and I didn’t “practice what I preach.” I let myself complain too much and wallow in self-pity. My friends supported me through these difficult times. I am grateful.

Today, I choose to embrace all of the good and all of the bad as I begin 2016, not as a fresh start, but as a continuation of this incredible journey.

In January, I turn 50 AND I release my first book! I look forward to sharing my stories and my ongoing journey with you.

What will you continue to do in 2016?

Happy New Year!

Let’s go make some magic!
